> The platform builds a knowledge graph of code, dependencies and data relationships before generating a modern system architecture.

BotMan AI is marketing an AI-powered platform that modernizes legacy software by mapping code, dependencies and data relationships before generating a new application architecture.

The platform builds a knowledge graph covering procedures, functions, forms, tables, stored procedures and their relationships. That structure is used to understand an existing application and design a replacement system rather than translate old code line by line.

The system can ingest legacy codebases including Delphi, Visual Basic and Oracle Forms. BotMan AI says its approach preserves the business rules and data behavior embedded in older systems while moving them to a modern architecture.

A Forus migration described by BotMan AI involved 500 Delphi forms, 70 batch processes and 550,000 lines of code accumulated over 32 years. BotMan AI says the work was completed in 14 months, compared with a 16-year estimate for a manual rewrite.

BotMan AI describes the Forus target architecture as using Spring Boot for the backend and React for the frontend. The process has four stages: building the knowledge graph, designing the architecture, generating code, and validating and testing the result.

Alejandro D’Andrea, BotMan AI’s founder, CEO and CTO, said, “Intelligence is not the problem anymore. The problem is context.”

BotMan AI has more than 20 specialists working across two continents.

The system’s value proposition is aimed at organizations that need to replace older software while retaining the logic and data relationships built into it over decades.
