> The service retrieves public webpages for AI agents, while market snapshots showed GRASS prices ranging from $0.77 to $0.875 on Oct. 12.

Grass launched a webpage-retrieval API for artificial intelligence agents on Oct. 8 as GRASS traded below $0.80 after reaching about $0.88 in one market snapshot.

The Contents API converts public URLs into model-ready HTML, Markdown or text. It can render JavaScript, apply geographic targeting and use freshness controls for applications that need current web information.

In a 100-page benchmark conducted Oct. 1, Grass retrieved 97% of tested URLs. Firecrawl retrieved 84%, Parallel 76% and Exa 66%. In a difficult test set, Grass recorded a 98% retrieval rate, compared with 71% for the next-best provider.

The benchmark disabled caching when providers offered that option. Median client latency was 2.08 seconds across 50 URLs successfully retrieved by all four providers.

Access requires an application review because the service uses bandwidth sourced from the Grass Network. Participants share unused internet bandwidth for public-web data retrieval, making the Contents API part of Grass’ broader Live Context Retrieval effort to give AI systems access to current information rather than only previously collected training data.

GRASS traded near $0.77 at 11:47 a.m. ET Oct. 12 (15:47 UTC), up about 5% over 24 hours, while trading volume rose about 179% to $79.85 million. The reported price followed an approximately $0.88 market-snapshot high, although other readings showed different levels.

A separate snapshot at 11:15 p.m. ET Oct. 11 (03:15 UTC Oct. 12) placed GRASS at $0.875, up 29.12% over 24 hours, with $68.66 million in volume. Another showed the token at $0.7912, with a 24-hour range of $0.7107 to $0.8858 and volume of $84.98 million.

The differing figures reflect separate observation times and market coverage. A daily record for Oct. 11 showed GRASS opening at $0.6682, reaching $0.8419, falling to $0.6638 and closing at $0.8386, with $43.3 million in volume.

The GRASS token functions as a transaction and reward mechanism in the ecosystem. The project’s earlier plans for content and search APIs appeared in [an earlier report on GRASS briefly topping $0.80](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/25570>).
