> The hardware-wallet maker is assessing device sales, supply-chain procedures and reseller controls after spyware-linked attacks affected hundreds of crypto addresses.

Ledger will review its device sales, supply-chain and anti-tampering controls after spyware-linked attacks caused estimated losses of more than $90 million in crypto assets.

Chief Technology Officer Charles Guillemet said Tuesday that Ledger is assessing how devices are sold and how its anti-tampering protections operate. He urged users who suspect a device was altered to consult Ledger’s official safety guidance before taking it apart.

Users can also send suspicious devices back to Ledger for additional testing. Chief Executive Officer Pascal Gauthier said the company is examining controls covering both direct sales and distributor channels.

The incidents involved hundreds of crypto addresses, with some affected devices linked to products sold by Malaysian distributor CryptoBilis. Ledger’s review comes as the company evaluates whether changes are needed across its sales and supply-chain processes.
