> The 61-piece mirror-steel work is part of a planned 21-country series tied to Bitcoin (BTC)'s 21 million-coin supply cap.

Bitcoin Austria unveiled a reflective statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Vienna's Viertel Zwei district on Oct. 14, adding Austria's first installation to a planned 21-country art project.

The sculpture consists of 61 polished stainless-steel strips mounted on a weather-resistant steel base. Viewed head-on, the figure nearly disappears. A person standing behind it appears in the reflection where the statue's face would be, an effect that invokes the Bitcoin community's “We are all Satoshi” slogan.

The statue is part of 21 Nodes, a project from Satoshi Gallery led by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi. The project plans one statue in each of 21 countries, with the number reflecting Bitcoin's 21 million-coin supply cap. Its first statue was unveiled in Lugano, Switzerland, in Oct. 2024.

The Vienna unveiling also marked the 15th anniversary of Bitcoin Austria. The statue is open to the public around the clock.
