> Users receive wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) on their starting network while their ETH travels to Ethereum for staking.

Lido’s direct staking route lets users stake Ether (ETH) from Arbitrum, Base, Linea or Optimism, with wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) delivered to the starting network without manual bridging.

Under the liquidity-pool option, a local pool supplies the wstETH users receive. Their ETH moves to Ethereum for staking, and wstETH later returns to replenish the pool.

Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) carries the instructions and transfers between networks.
