Nillion is preparing to end operations on its layer-2 network and has urged users holding NIL tokens or Ether (ETH) there to move their assets to Ethereum mainnet through its official cross-chain bridge.

The transfer request applies to both assets when they are held on Nillion’s network. The project named its official bridge as the route for the move and Ethereum mainnet as the destination. Nillion describes the shutdown as near, so the network’s closure is upcoming rather than completed.

The request is tied to Nillion’s own L2 network and to users who have either of the named assets there. Nillion is a privacy computing project. Its planned change affects operation of that network, while the transfer direction concerns where NIL and ETH held there should be moved.

Nillion’s instruction points to one route for both assets: its official bridge to Ethereum mainnet. Users holding NIL or ETH on the L2 are being asked to move those balances promptly as the network winds down.
