> The live feature lets marketplace buyers check a wallet’s link to an identity-verified owner without revealing that owner’s identity.

XDC AI has added Concordium identity checks to its marketplace for AI agents, giving buyers a way to confirm that an agent’s XDC smart wallet is linked to an identity-verified owner. The live feature gives buyers an ownership signal while keeping the owner’s identity off the public badge.

To set up the badge, an owner completes a passport and liveness check through an independent provider. The owner then links a Concordium account to an XDC smart wallet using two signatures. Those signatures do not move funds. Buyers can inspect the wallet-to-account binding and filter marketplace listings for verified sellers without seeing the identity behind the account. The badge shows that a wallet has been tied to an identity check, not the personal details used for that check.

XDC AI’s marketplace lets agents find application programming interfaces (APIs) and pay per call in USD Coin (USDC) through x402. It uses noncustodial smart wallets with on-chain spending limits. The identity check adds an owner verification layer to this payment setup by connecting a wallet with an identity-verified person or business.

Concordium announced on Oct. 15 that it had become XDC AI’s identity-verification layer. The verification flow is live, with all five steps available. XDC AI lists a nonrefundable verification fee of 3 USDC; if the verification page shows a different amount, that page takes precedence.

A January 2026 survey of 418 IT and security professionals found that 82% had discovered previously unknown AI agents in the prior year, while 65% reported an AI-agent-related incident in the previous 12 months.

Atul Khekade, co-founder of XDC Network, said institutions need to “know who stands behind an agent before they trust it with real money.”

The badge links a wallet to an identity-verified owner, but it does not assess the agent’s code or approve its use case. It provides an identity link rather than a review of what the software can do.
