> The planned network will settle on HyperEVM, operate alongside HyperCore and use Hyperliquid (HYPE) for transaction fees.

Elysium plans to launch its mainnet Nov. 9, adding the Hyperliquid ecosystem’s first layer-2 network and giving developers another place to build applications connected to its trading infrastructure.

The general-purpose network will settle on HyperEVM, Hyperliquid’s environment for smart contracts. Elysium will operate alongside HyperCore, which handles the blockchain’s trading activity. Those connections place the new network within Hyperliquid’s existing infrastructure.

Elysium will use Hyperliquid (HYPE) as its native gas token, meaning users will pay network transaction fees in HYPE. It currently runs Conduit’s G2 sequencer, which orders transactions for processing.

A layer-2 network processes activity on a separate layer while relying on another network for settlement. For Elysium, that settlement destination is HyperEVM. The planned mainnet launch would move Elysium from a testing stage to a live network for applications and transactions.

The next scheduled step is the Nov. 9 mainnet launch.
