> Huang said most people would work in a company’s digital twin, creating products with digital brains for AI robots to manufacture in physical plants.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said Oct. 20 that companies will pair physical factories with digital twins where most people work, outlining how he expects AI to reshape manufacturing.

Speaking at the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin, Huang described digital twins that closely resemble their physical counterparts. He said people would build products with digital brains in those virtual workplaces, while AI robots would manufacture the products in physical factories.

Huang called physical AI the next wave of artificial intelligence. He described it as technology that interacts with the physical world through robotics, vehicles, manufacturing and heavy industry. His factory vision puts digital work and physical production alongside each other.

Huang said digital technology would enhance expertise in mechatronics and manufacturing rather than replace it. His remarks focused on how AI could be used with those capabilities as factories adopt robotics and digital twins.
