Wallets linked to the Drift Protocol exploit moved 25,700 Ether (ETH), valued at about $61.56 million, to Tornado Cash on Oct. 20, sending funds from the earlier breach to a privacy-focused service.

The movement followed roughly two months of inactivity. Addresses associated with the exploiter still held about 81,864 ETH, valued at approximately $195 million, after the transfer. The remaining Ether balance was substantially larger than the amount deposited into Tornado Cash.

The earlier attack on Drift Protocol involved more than $270 million in stolen assets. The Oct. 20 transfer marks a further movement of funds tied to that breach, months after the initial theft. The dollar values for the transfer and the remaining Ether are estimates based on their value when the activity was observed.

Tornado Cash is a privacy-focused service on Ethereum, the network that carries ETH. Its privacy features can make the path of deposited assets harder to follow. The latest movement leaves a large Ether balance in addresses associated with the Drift exploit.
