Stellar has announced Bell, Protocol 30, a planned November upgrade focused on smart accounts for businesses that also targets quantum-safe signatures and improvements to ledger speed.

The smart-account changes are intended for businesses using Stellar. The blockchain supports cross-border transactions.

Bell also includes work on quantum-safe signatures as part of its planned security changes.

The upgrade aims to improve ledger speed.

The testnet upgrade is scheduled for Nov. 3. The mainnet upgrade is planned for Nov. 23.
