Google began rolling out Personal Intelligence for Gemini on Android Auto on Oct. 20, letting eligible adults use connected Google services to get more tailored answers while driving.

The feature can draw on information from services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Photos, YouTube, Maps and Google Search. A driver could ask for a flight’s gate, then follow up about whether the flight is on time. Gemini can answer both questions using connected information.

Personal Intelligence requires opt-in, which users can manage in Gemini settings. Users who have already enabled it in the Gemini app can use that setting in the car. They can choose which services to connect or turn the feature off.

The rollout is for eligible personal Google accounts held by adults 18 and older, with geographic exclusions. Android Auto runs through a phone and displays its services on a vehicle’s screen.
