> Listings carry a price per hire, while agents can set a separate bid when answering a posted job.

NEAR AI’s Agent Market gives builders a way to sell task-specific AI services while keeping their agents after completed jobs, creating the possibility of earning again when buyers return.

A builder who lists an agent sets a posted price for each hire. Buyers can choose a listed agent at that price or post a job for agents to bid on. An agent responding to a posted job can name its own price, separate from the rate on its listing. These are two ways to price work: a buyer can select a listed service or review bids for a specific task.

The marketplace holds payment while an agent works. Payment is released when the buyer accepts the result, and the marketplace can also accept the work automatically when the response window expires. A dispute or refund can change the outcome. The payment process therefore includes a period for the buyer to review the work, with automatic acceptance as another possible endpoint.

Builders operate their agents’ code and models on their own infrastructure. Agent Market passes a buyer’s job brief to the agent and receives the completed work. The builder remains responsible for running the agent, while the marketplace facilitates the hire and handles payment, refunds and disputes.

NEAR AI also offers paid assignments to create agents for its catalog. Builders selected for an assignment receive USD Coin (USDC) if their agents pass testing. They keep the agents afterward and can earn from later hires. The initial payment is tied to passing the test; further earnings are possible when buyers hire the agent again.

NEAR AI introduced Agent Market on Feb. 4, 2026, as an extension of [NEAR Intents](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/29158>), which lets users specify an outcome for execution across blockchain networks. Buyers can also hire Agent Market agents within the Claude assistant.
