> The module supports crypto purchases by card, bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with bank or card payouts where available. Production use requires business onboarding.

Wallet makers using Tether’s Wallet Development Kit can now connect customers to Transak for crypto purchases and fiat payouts, adding a payment option to self-custodial apps built with the toolkit.

WDK lists Transak’s fiat module as ready. The route supports USD₮, XAU₮, USA₮ and Bitcoin (BTC). Customers can pay by card, bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay, while payouts may go to a bank account or card. Available assets, payment methods and payout options depend on the market and the user’s eligibility.

WDK is an open-source toolkit for building self-custodial wallets across multiple blockchains. Tether’s tether.wallet product was built with the kit. The WDK module list also marks MoonPay as ready, giving developers another provider option.

In the payment flow, the wallet provides the receiving address. The payment provider handles checkout, identity verification, payment processing and delivery of crypto or a fiat payout. Self-custody does not remove the provider’s eligibility requirements.

Developers must configure Transak credentials and server-side operations to use the module. Production access requires business onboarding, so users’ access depends on wallet integration, onboarding and the options available in their market.

The broader service supports more than 136 cryptocurrencies across more than 45 blockchains and is used by more than 600 platforms.
