> The industrial AI platform is planned for commercial availability in the first quarter of 2027, with the model option intended to give manufacturers more control over data location.

Rockwell Automation announced on Oct. 22 at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) that FactoryTalk Conductor will support NVIDIA Nemotron open models. The addition gives manufacturers a planned model option for the industrial AI platform, which is expected to become commercially available in the first quarter of 2027.

FactoryTalk Conductor is designed to connect AI agents with engineering software and coordinate workflows that involve multiple steps. Users can initiate those workflows with natural-language requests. The platform was introduced Oct. 21, one day before the Nemotron support announcement.

The Nemotron option is intended to let manufacturers use Rockwell-verified agents and skills while keeping engineering and production data in environments they control. The platform’s deployment options include hosted AI services and locally hosted models, giving manufacturers a choice in where AI runs.

The platform’s planned initial integrations include Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Logix Echo, Emulate3D and FactoryTalk Optix. The software covers engineering, simulation and related industrial workflows. Rockwell plans to add more software integrations after the initial set.

A separate Nemotron Nano integration for FactoryTalk Design Studio was announced on Nov. 13, 2025. That earlier integration involved a different Rockwell product from FactoryTalk Conductor.

“Manufacturers want to adopt AI in ways that align with their business, technology and governance requirements,” said Matheus Bulho, Rockwell Automation’s senior vice president, software & control. FactoryTalk Conductor is planned to reach commercial availability in the first quarter of 2027.
