> CZ said risk comes with both action and inaction, and encouraged users to stay informed and address problems as they arise.

CZ said Thursday that no crypto wallet, software or technology can be fully secure. He urged users to manage security risks rather than pursue absolute protection.

His remarks addressed wallets and software generally, rather than identifying a specific product or security incident. He said risk accompanies action and inaction alike, so choosing not to act does not remove risk.

He also acknowledged that people can run into setbacks and other problems that need to be resolved. His guidance was to stay current on developments, manage risk and actively work through issues as they arise.

The guidance put risk management ahead of pursuing absolute security. It paired staying informed with working through problems as they arise.

The comments build on CZ's [earlier crypto-custody guidance](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/29662>), which urged people to choose safeguards based on their holdings and technical ability. That guidance also discussed dividing funds between exchanges and personal wallets based on users' security skills and how they use their funds.
