> The Chapel testnet rollout is scheduled for Oct. 28. Jenner alone will not activate token creation under the proposed CAS20 standard.

BNB Chain has scheduled Jenner’s testnet rollout for Chapel on Oct. 28, adding a payment feature that reserves 5% of block gas by default for eligible payments.

The hard fork is set for 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday (02:30 UTC Oct. 29). The feature, called Payment Lane, gives qualifying payments a reserved share of a block’s gas capacity under the default setting.

Preparation guidance covers validators, node operators, block builders and application developers. Jenner’s deployment to Chapel will not activate token creation under CAS20, BNB Chain’s proposed standard for stablecoins and tokenized assets.

BEP-702 remains in draft form, and CAS20 requires a separate activation step.

Issuers will not be able to create CAS20 tokens solely because Jenner is deployed to Chapel; [CAS20 token creation requires a separate activation step](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/35699>).
