> ShibTorch had 371.37 BONE against a 1,000-BONE trigger. A separate portal showed two recent burn entries.

ShibTorch’s route for burning Shiba Inu (SHIB) was listed as closed in a Thursday, Oct. 22 snapshot, while a separate community portal showed two recent burn entries.

ShibTorch collects network fees in Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), Shibarium’s gas token. It uses the accumulated BONE to acquire SHIB, then depends on a token swap and bridge transfer to deliver SHIB to an Ethereum burn address. The BONE balance is the fee pool for the process, while the bridge carries the SHIB needed to complete the burn. A separate community portal is a different mechanism that lets holders burn tokens themselves.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, ShibTorch had accumulated 371.37 BONE against a 1,000-BONE trigger. “But you need the bridge to work for ShibTorch,” Mazrael wrote.

The same-day snapshot marked the SHIB lane on Shibarium’s bridge closed and listed Oct. 6, 2025, as its last recorded movement. The status follows the Shibarium bridge exploit on Sept. 12, 2025, at 2:44 p.m. ET (18:44 UTC); restrictions were imposed after the incident. Contract-permission records no longer list RootChainManager among the ERC20Predicate’s manager-role holders.

The separate portal’s two entries showed burns of 5.77 million and 36.78 million SHIB, each marked as occurring 12 days before the Oct. 22 snapshot. Those entries show recent activity on that portal, which operates separately from ShibTorch.

A wider ecosystem tally lists 69.32 billion SHIB across four categories, not ShibTorch alone. It includes 57.68 billion SHIB in manual Ethereum burns across eight transactions, 8.77 billion from Shiboshi renaming across 2,621 transactions, 1.02 billion from ShibTorch V2 across 73 transactions and 1.85 billion from the community portal across 71 transactions. The categories had a combined value of $1.27 million based on prices at the time of each burn. The breakdown assigns only the 1.02 billion category to ShibTorch V2; the other burns came from separate processes.
