> The Oct. 25–28 Las Vegas conference will also feature a Codex and Oracle AI Database hackathon on Oct. 28.

Oracle AI World will feature a session on whether businesses can trust AI alongside programming on database security and cloud data systems. The four-day conference runs Oct. 25–28 at The Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Juan Loaiza, Oracle’s executive vice president of database technologies, is scheduled to feature in a session titled “AI Can Build It, But Can You Trust It? Data Is the Key.” It is set for Monday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. ET (21:00 UTC).

Other sessions will address database security against AI-powered threats and Oracle’s Autonomous AI Lakehouse. The lakehouse supports access to data across cloud environments and supports Apache Iceberg.

Oracle AI Database 26ai includes Deep Data Security, announced May 1. The feature applies end-user authorization rules inside the database when an AI agent or application requests data. Its policies can restrict access by row, column or cell.

A two-hour Codex and Oracle AI Database hackathon is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, from noon to 2 p.m. ET (16:00–18:00 UTC). OpenAI Codex and Oracle AI Database experts are scheduled to help participants build prototypes.
