> RTBs gave holders the right to buy tickets at a separate price, while RTTs represented claims that were to be converted into tickets through the tournament app.

FIFA’s 2026 World Cup ticket-rights program allowed holders to trade purchase and claim rights on FIFA Collect, while a separate standard resale marketplace excluded those digital products.

FIFA Collect offered two kinds of rights. A Right-to-Buy (RTB) gave its holder the right to buy a ticket for a specific match, with the ticket price paid separately. A Right-to-Ticket (RTT) let its holder claim a ticket for a specific match and category. Neither right was itself an entry ticket.

A claimed RTT was to be converted into a ticket issued through the tournament app. FIFA Collect listed a 15% resale fee for RTT trades. Mexican residents could trade only at the asset’s original value.

FIFA’s standard World Cup resale and exchange marketplace excluded digital collectibles and tickets from FIFA Collect, leaving the platform as a separate place to trade the rights.

FIFA announced on June 11, 2025, that FIFA Collect had moved to FIFA Blockchain. The network uses Avalanche technology and is compatible with Ethereum-based wallets and tools. The 2026 World Cup ran from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
