> The per-block amount is projected to move from 2.06017223 KAS to about 1.94454365 KAS at a target rate of 10 blocks per second.

Kaspa (KAS) is projected to enter its next subsidy tier on Nov. 4, 2026, reducing the base amount issued per block by about 5.6% as its schedule advances through monthly steps.

The per-block subsidy is expected to decline from 2.06017223 KAS to about 1.94454365 KAS. The calendar date is an estimate because the protocol advances the schedule based on the network’s difficulty-adjustment score, rather than at a fixed time.

Each step multiplies the per-second subsidy by 2^(-1/12), a reduction of about 5.61%. Twelve steps compound to a halving, making the November change one installment in the longer issuance schedule.

Kaspa’s Crescendo upgrade raised its target block rate from one to 10 blocks per second. The protocol calculates the base subsidy per block by dividing a per-second amount by the block rate. The current per-second subsidy of 20.60172230 KAS corresponds to about 2.06017223 KAS per block; the next tier’s 19.44543648 KAS per second corresponds to about 1.94454365 KAS per block.

Transaction fees are separate from the base subsidy, so the per-block subsidy alone does not determine miners’ total receipts. The next tier is projected to arrive around Nov. 4, 2026, as the network reaches the relevant score threshold.
