# Instagram App Store Listing Shows Apple TV Compatibility

Instagram is listed as compatible with Apple TV in the U.S. App Store, adding Apple’s streaming device to the platforms where users can watch its video content. The listing does not establish when Apple TV compatibility began.

Running the app on Apple TV requires tvOS 26.0 or a newer version. The listing describes Reels, longer videos, live shows and the ability to resume viewing across screens. Instagram is free to download with in-app purchases, and the listing also includes iPhone and iPad as compatible devices.

Meta’s television rollout began with a U.S. test on Amazon Fire TV in December 2025. The service reached Google TV in February 2026, followed by Samsung Smart TVs in June 2026. The initial TV version arranged Reels into channels based on viewers’ interests and played videos automatically.
