An independent miner received 3.14 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at about $250,000, after finding block 973,413 on Oct. 28 with a setup running at roughly 6.5 terahashes per second.

That rate is less than one-fortieth of the 270 TH/s listed for the S21 XP, a professional mining machine.
