Apple's first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen starts at $2,899 in the United States, with 14-inch and 16-inch models scheduled to reach customers beginning Nov. 6.

Both sizes use tandem OLED displays, which Apple calls PROLED XDR, and come with M5 Pro or M5 Max chips. Users can swipe to scroll, pinch to zoom and drag and drop content on the screen while using the keyboard and trackpad. The touch sensor is built into the display panel.

M5 Pro configurations start at $2,899 for the 14-inch model and $3,399 for the 16-inch. M5 Max versions start at $4,499 and $4,799, respectively.

Apple’s touchscreen line uses M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, while the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro announced Oct. 27 is a separate model. That model starts at $1,999.
