KR1 plc began staking on Bittensor after acquiring 5,000 Bittensor (TAO) in recent months, adding an operation to its digital asset infrastructure strategy. The company estimates annualized infrastructure income equal to 6.6% of its deployed TAO’s current value, using reward rates observed Oct. 28.

Bittensor is a layer-1 blockchain with subnets for services such as AI inference, computing capacity, training and prediction. Independent providers compete for network rewards based on their performance. KR1 stakes through validators that assess those providers and receives a share of network rewards.

The company can access its TAO immediately after unstaking, with no mandatory unbonding period. It may keep rewards to expand its productive assets or realize them to fund future investments and operating costs. KR1 plans to report its TAO holdings and related infrastructure income in monthly unaudited updates.

The Bittensor operation follows KR1’s [Ethereum validator launch](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/34242>). Managing Director and co-founder Keld van Schreven said KR1 expects demand for AI infrastructure to grow as software handles more complex work. He said the company is watching whether Bittensor’s incentives can sustain services with repeat-paying customers. KR1 also aims to increase both the value of its productive digital assets per share and the income-generating capacity of those assets per share.
