> Google lists later prices of $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, but has not set an end date for the introductory rates or a date for broad access.

Google has set introductory launch prices for Gemini 4 Carbon at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, giving developers a cost reference before wider access begins.

The announced schedule lists later prices of $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. Both later rates are double their introductory counterparts. Google has not provided a date for when the introductory period ends or the higher rates take effect.

The announcement also lists a 95% discount for cached input, calculated against the applicable input price. Input tokens are text or code sent to a model; output tokens are what it generates. The per-million figures separate the two types of use, and Google has not listed a fixed price for a particular task.

Google has not provided a timetable for general access to Carbon. Its initial access group is limited to cybersecurity defenders, with trusted partners to follow through Fairwind. The [staged rollout](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/43070>) does not establish that Carbon is currently available through an API. Google also has not specified whether Gemini subscriptions include Carbon API usage.

Google describes Carbon as a model for complex software engineering and cybersecurity work, including finding, validating and fixing vulnerabilities. The company said internal teams observed it working for days on problems in large codebases and low-level systems. Those observations do not establish that Carbon can conduct specialized smart-contract audits.

Gemini 4 Argon has the same introductory token prices as Carbon, with those rates listed through Nov. 30, 2026. Argon’s later listed rates are $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. Carbon’s announcement gives the same later prices but no end date for its introductory period. The [Argon price schedule](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/31944>) provides a comparison; it does not establish Carbon’s access terms.

Google has not announced a date for broader Carbon access.
