> A process post is planned for around Nov. 20, with public discussions expected in early December. No changes have been approved.

Cosmos Hub contributors say Phase 2 research on Cosmos (ATOM) tokenomics has completed stress testing and is moving to public review, with three possible changes set for separate discussions beginning in early December. No change has been approved.

The research outlines three possible measures. One would establish an issuance rule with a security floor that could respond to revenue if Hub products begin earning it. Another would adjust staking incentives to favor longer-term staking. A third would direct Hub revenue into the reward cycle.

Contributors are aiming to publish a post outlining the review process around Nov. 20. That timing is tentative while the materials undergo further preparation and internal and legal review. Public discussions are expected to begin in early December and extend into January.

The planned process starts with forum discussions, followed by community and validator calls before any on-chain proposal. Contributors plan to take up the proposed changes one at a time, and the terms could change after discussion. Each measure would be considered separately and have its own proposal.

qxnico, author of the Oct. 29 update, described the approach as “one post, one schedule, and a separate proposal for each proposed tokenomics change.” No proposed parameter values, reward amounts or on-chain vote dates have been published.

The review stage advances the work from Oct. 1, when Gauntlet’s Phase 2 recommendations were still under review and contributors were preparing a wrap-up post. Cosmos Labs named Gauntlet as its quantitative research partner in April. The Hub’s Phase 1 research examined ATOM holder behavior, staking economics and selling pressure.

The next stated step is the process post, planned for around Nov. 20. The proposed measures still require public discussion before any on-chain proposal, and the review schedule does not provide specific vote dates.
