> The transfers came before Relay’s Nov. 2 notice that some transactions and routes could pause or slow as it took steps to stop stolen funds moving through its protocol.

About $34 million in transfers from 12 addresses linked to the Binance hack had reached Relay by Oct. 31, showing the scale of activity before the bridge announced steps to screen movements through its protocol.

The transfers, involving USDT and TRX, had reached Relay by 4:34 p.m. ET Oct. 31 (20:34 UTC). Some deposits were refunded, and payouts were traced to Ethereum. At 8:26 a.m. ET Nov. 2 (13:26 UTC), 24 downstream wallets held 13,853 Ether (ETH).

Relay Protocol said Nov. 2 that some transactions and routes could pause or slow while it took steps to stop funds stolen in the Binance hack from moving through the service. The protocol told users, “No action is needed on your part.”

Relay did not quantify any funds blocked or confirm that it stopped a specific transfer. The exchange placed the incident at about 4:05 p.m. ET Oct. 29 (20:05 UTC) and estimated unauthorized hot-wallet withdrawals at about $6.3 billion.
