> Mercado Bitcoin says $11 million has been blocked and pledges customers will not incur losses. Access to its services remains suspended.

The Mercado Bitcoin hack is estimated at $49 million across 17 blockchain networks, as customer access to the exchange’s services remained suspended.

Mercado Bitcoin separately said $11 million had been blocked and pledged customers would not incur losses. The blocked amount equals about 22% of the estimate. That comparison puts the exchange’s blocked-funds update alongside the broader estimate, but it does not establish that the remaining amount was lost or recovered.

The estimate covers 17 networks, giving the incident a cross-chain scope. The two figures are different measures: one values the hack, while the other describes funds blocked. Mercado Bitcoin’s customer pledge addresses who will absorb any losses, while the continuing suspension indicates the incident is still affecting access to services. The estimate and the blocked-funds update are different measurements; neither figure alone states a net-loss amount. The company has not resumed access to its services.
