Paradigm has released Solar, a Solidity compiler that its technology chief says averaged more than 100 times the speed of Solc in via-IR mode, while producing bytecode with lower runtime gas use and deployment costs.

Georgios Konstantopoulos, a Paradigm partner and chief technology officer, said Solar reached a peak speedup of 159 times. He also said its bytecode takes up less space than Solc’s output and that Solar beat Solady in some benchmarks without hand-written assembly.

Konstantopoulos said Solar addresses the stack-too-deep problem. The compiler is integrated with Foundry and supports multithreaded compilation and LSP.

The release follows Paradigm’s [earlier plan for Solar’s EVM code generation](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/40887>), which was scheduled for the week of Oct. 26.
