> The phased expansion follows a security incident that Binance estimated affected about $6.3 billion in assets.

Binance listed additional assets on nine networks for a withdrawal rollout beginning at 11 p.m. ET Nov. 2 (04:00 UTC Nov. 3), extending customer access after its $6.3 billion security incident.

The list covers BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron and Base. Binance is restoring withdrawals by asset and network as security checks finish, so inclusion on the list does not mean every withdrawal is available at once. Deposits remain open.

An attacker moved about $6.36 billion from Binance-linked wallets across 10 blockchains on Oct. 29, valued when the transfers occurred. Binance’s roughly $6.3 billion estimate measures the incident’s impact rather than that transfer total. Neither figure establishes a final net loss.

On Ethereum, the attacker submitted 50 pre-signed EIP-7702 authorizations to direct a hot wallet to code that repeatedly swept funds. Transfers on nine other chains used standard signatures. TRM Labs assessed that the pattern pointed to a compromise of Binance’s hot-wallet signing infrastructure; Binance has not published a final cause.

As of 8:30 p.m. ET Oct. 29 (00:30 UTC Oct. 30), about $2.7 billion had been frozen or moved beyond the attacker’s reach, while an estimated $2.4 billion remained beyond issuer freeze powers. In a later update, Binance put on-chain freezes at roughly $3 billion. The FBI attributed the theft to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group on Oct. 31. Binance plans to restore further withdrawal routes as they clear security checks.
