> The company cited restricted access, separated duties and multiple approvals as safeguards against unauthorized transactions.

DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. said client assets remained secure after [Binance’s security incident](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/44214>) and outlined safeguards intended to prevent one compromised device from enabling an unauthorized transaction.

In its Oct. 31 statement, DMG said neither the company nor its affiliates had been affected. It described controls built around restricted access, separated duties and multiple levels of transaction approval. DMG said the measures are designed to keep one compromised device from giving a user the authority to initiate, approve or complete an unauthorized transaction.

The statement gave no client-asset balances or details of any Binance exposure or custody arrangements. DMG also provided no configuration details or test results for the controls it described.

Binance placed the hot-wallet attack at about 4:05 p.m. ET on Oct. 29 (20:05 UTC) and estimated affected token assets at about $6.3 billion. It said about $3 billion had been frozen on-chain as of an earlier incident update. On Nov. 1, the exchange said it had covered about 95% of the impacted amount. The frozen funds and coverage figure are separate measures and do not establish a net-loss figure.

Binance’s investigation remains ongoing. The exchange said it will publish a technical report when the investigation is complete.
