> Restricted keys allow trading without withdrawal access. Orders reach live markets, where positions can still lose money or be liquidated.

Tria has enabled AI agents to trade perpetual futures on Hyperliquid and Decibel through restricted account keys, giving users another way to automate derivatives trades while retaining control of withdrawals.

The company announced the feature Oct. 30. A user can connect an AI tool to a Tria account and give it a key that permits trading but does not authorize withdrawals. Creating a key alone does not start trading; any requirement to approve individual trades depends on the connected tool and its configuration.

The trading interface lets agents place, modify, cancel and batch orders, close positions, and read account information such as balances and margin. Users can monitor their positions in the Tria app. Orders go to live mainnet markets on both supported venues; the trading software provides no testnet target.

The restriction does not prevent trading losses or liquidation, the forced closure of a leveraged position when a trader cannot meet margin requirements. An agent's ability to trade therefore remains consequential even though its key cannot move funds out of the account.

Keys expire after 90 days by default. Users can set a term from one to 180 days and revoke a key through the app. After revoking access, users should verify the status of outstanding orders and positions. Revocation does not itself establish that an order has been canceled or a position closed.

The software includes a builder fee, while venue trading fees and funding payments may also apply.

Tria's feature gives connected tools a separate route to place perpetual futures trades on Hyperliquid and Decibel.
