> The exchange said less-liquid tokens make up the outstanding share. A separate reserve report used a different recovery measure, so the percentages cannot be directly compared.

Binance said 5% of the amount affected by its October security incident remained unreplenished as of Nov. 2, with less-liquid tokens taking longer to source at scale.

The exchange said the outstanding tokens were outside the 10 assets listed in its recovery update. It did not identify them or assign a dollar value to the remaining share. Binance did not specify the valuation basis for its 95% figure. Its [earlier replenishment update](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/45700>) also described the remaining assets as less liquid.

A separate initial incident report put restoration at 98% of affected token assets as of Oct. 31. That figure and the 95% of the “impacted amount” use measures Binance did not reconcile, so they cannot be directly compared.

Binance estimated that the incident affected about $6.34 billion in digital assets. As of its Nov. 3 update, about $2.85 billion had been frozen or intercepted; the exchange said that figure was subject to reconciliation and market-price volatility.

The recovery used company resources and purchases through market and over-the-counter channels. Binance listed a partial deployment of its Secure Asset Fund for Users, part of its Futures insurance fund and its corporate treasury among the funding sources.

A reserve snapshot taken at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 30 (00:00 UTC Oct. 31) showed at least 1:1 backing for 10 tokens. Binance completed the snapshot’s zero-knowledge proof by Nov. 2. The reserve snapshot covered those tokens at a specific time; it did not establish whether individual withdrawal routes were available.

A separate Binance notice scheduled additional withdrawals to begin reopening gradually at 11 p.m. ET Nov. 2 (04:00 UTC Nov. 3), after security and readiness checks for asset-network pairs across nine networks. The notice described a planned rollout and did not confirm the status of each route. Binance set Nov. 4 for a wider reserve snapshot and said producing the refreshed proof could take 40 to 50 hours.
