# PrimeXBT Adds AI Connector for Preparing Trades Through Chat

PrimeXBT has added a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that links supported AI assistants to PXTrader 2.0 accounts and lets users prepare trades through chat. PrimeXBT does not offer services to U.S. residents.

The connector supports demo and live accounts for Crypto Futures and contracts for difference (CFDs). Compatible assistants include ChatGPT, Claude, Codex and Claude Code. Users connect with a PrimeXBT login and can choose read-only access or permission to prepare trades; setup does not require coding or an API key.

The connector includes 30 tools for account information, market prices and charts, trading history, and details on costs, leverage, margin and platform rules. With trading permission, an assistant can prepare market, limit or stop orders. The platform’s trading engine creates a preview with estimated price, fee, margin and liquidation level. A trader must approve the order, and the confirmation ticket expires after 60 seconds.

The connector does not support deposits, withdrawals or fund transfers. It also does not provide its own AI. Assistant-generated text may be wrong, so traders should check order details before confirming.

“With our MCP, we're bringing real trading data and functionality into the AI assistants people already know and use,” said Jonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBT.

PrimeXBT also announced a separate Trading API for programmatic connections to bots, applications and other tools. It includes two-factor authentication, configurable permissions and optional IP restrictions. MCP is a standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools and services; trades prepared through this connector require user confirmation.
