Core Lightning released v26.06.10 to address channel-balance risks and remote crashes, and urged operators to upgrade while tests remain temporarily withheld.

The release addresses channel-balance risks and bugs that could crash nodes remotely.

Core Lightning software runs nodes on the Lightning Network, which routes Bitcoin (BTC) payments through interconnected payment channels. Maintainers temporarily withheld the tests to give operators time to upgrade.

The update follows [Core Lightning’s v26.06.9 release on Oct. 7, which included security and payment fixes](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/28737>). That version also fixed a CPU-budget issue that could slow channel traffic on busy nodes.

TokenPost previously covered [a malformed-gossip flaw that could repeatedly crash Core Lightning nodes after an upgrade](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/46800>).
