> The company’s Nov. 4 update expanded its Oct. 30 notice to include password hashes and live tokens for all users.

Chainalysis restored access Saturday to Reactor, its Know Your Transaction (KYT) interface and API, and Address Screening after the company disclosed a broader exposure of user information.

At 1:50 p.m. ET (6:50 p.m. UTC) Nov. 7, Chainalysis said the three services were online with enhanced security measures and that it was emailing customers instructions to reconnect.

In a Nov. 4 update, Chainalysis disclosed that names, usernames, password hashes and live tokens for all users had been exposed to a malicious actor. Its Oct. 30 notice listed user IDs, full names, email addresses and organization role labels, and said the company had found no evidence that authentication credentials or session tokens were accessed.

Chainalysis began restoring KYT and Address Screening in phases Nov. 6 at 3:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. UTC). It instructed users to reset passwords and rotate API keys, as applicable, before registering transactions, and asked organizations to submit trusted IP addresses for an allowlist. The Nov. 4 update also said the company had no evidence that investigation data was accessed or attribution data manipulated.
