Boostry, a joint venture company between Nomura and Nomura Research Institute (NRI), has announced the launch of the official webpage of its security token platform, ibet.

On Sept. 02, Nomura and NRI jointly established Boostry – a new company that will use blockchain technology to develop a platform for exchanging securities and other rights. The objective was to support corporate clients with the issuance and distribution of securities and other rights.

Boostry, which brings together people from Nomura and NRI, has now released the official website of ibet. According to the official website:

“ibet is a platform that uses blockchain technology to issue and trade various digitized rights including financial products.”

As per the details, ibet is developed as open-source software (OSS), meaning that anyone can use it to quickly start a project. ‘Token’ is the collective term for various rights issued by ibet. Token templates and trading methods will be standardized within the platform, and various types of tokens will continue to be available on ibet as OSS.

The company plans to release technical specifications and development roadmaps for developers in the future.
