Strategy (MSTR), the largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin, has launched a new preferred stock offering aimed at long-term investors seeking fixed returns. The company priced its 10% Series A Perpetual Stride Preferred Stock (STRD), offering 11.76 million shares with an expected net raise of approximately $979.7 million after fees.

STRD offers a 10% annual dividend—the highest yield among Strategy’s capital products. However, it carries more risk than its other offerings, STRF and STRK. Unlike STRK, which is convertible and yields 8%, or STRF, which holds seniority and experiences lower volatility, STRD dividends are non-cumulative. This means missed payments won't be owed in the future and are only issued when declared by the board.

The STRD shares are non-callable in normal conditions, with redemption triggered only by specific tax or structural changes within the company. Strategy stated that the capital raised will be used for general corporate purposes, including the purchase of more bitcoin.

This high-yield, no-management-fee product is designed to attract yield-focused investors in the current macro environment. Strategy’s aggressive bitcoin accumulation continues to position it as a hybrid tech and crypto investment vehicle.

STRD is scheduled to settle on June 10. Strategy shares (MSTR) rose 1.7% in pre-market trading to $375 following the announcement. The new offering signals Strategy’s commitment to leveraging capital markets to expand its bitcoin holdings while offering investors alternative yield opportunities amid volatile market conditions.

Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at $105,151.11 at the time of the news, adding further context to Strategy’s continued bullish stance on the asset.
