TSMC Sets Oct. 15 Earnings Call as AI-Chip Demand Comes Into Focus
The chipmaker expects third-quarter revenue of $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion, with gross profit margins of 65% to 67%.

TSMC will release its third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 15, giving US investors a fresh read on demand for advanced chips used in artificial-intelligence systems and other high-performance computing applications.
The Taiwan-based contract chipmaker has set its earnings conference call for 2 to 3:30 a.m. ET (6 to 7:30 a.m. UTC). TSMC’s current guidance calls for third-quarter revenue between $44.6 billion and $45.8 billion, based on an exchange-rate assumption of NT$32 to $1.
The company expects gross profit margins of 65% to 67% and operating margins of 56% to 58%. The results will show how revenue and profitability compared with those targets and provide an updated outlook for 2026. TSMC expects full-year revenue to increase by slightly more than 40% in US-dollar terms.
TSMC posted second-quarter revenue of $40.20 billion, an increase of 33.7% from a year earlier and 12% from the previous quarter. Gross margin was 67.7%, operating margin was 60.3% and net profit margin was 55.6%.
The company said its business was supported by strong demand for leading-edge process technologies and expected continued strong demand during the steep ramp-up of its 2-nanometer technology. Wendell Huang, TSMC’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, said the company’s second-quarter business was supported by strong demand for its leading-edge process technologies.
“Moving into third quarter 2026, we expect our business to be supported by continued strong demand for our leading-edge process technologies, including the steep ramp-up of our 2-nanometer technology,” Huang said.
TSMC manufactures chips designed by major semiconductor companies. Its financial results and business outlook therefore provide context on demand for advanced computing and AI-related capacity at companies such as Nvidia, Broadcom and AMD.
TSMC will not contact investment communities during its quiet period from Oct. 5 through Oct. 14. The earnings call on Oct. 15 is the next scheduled update on its third-quarter performance, margins and outlook.
