XRP Surges 315% in a Year, Outshines Ethereum Despite Recent Dip

Ripple’s native cryptocurrency XRP has surged approximately 315% year-over-year, according to data from CryptoRank, outperforming major altcoins, including Ethereum. Despite a recent 1.87% dip in price, XRP’s remarkable annual growth marks its strongest performance in years, fueled by renewed investor confidence, regulatory clarity, and institutional interest.

This resurgence follows years of regulatory pressure, particularly from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which had previously driven XRP to multi-year lows. However, improving clarity around Ripple’s legal standing has reignited market optimism. Major milestones like Ripple’s stablecoin initiative and the launch of an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) have further enhanced XRP’s appeal to institutions and large holders.
