TON Strategy Boosts Buyback Program and Stakes TON Tokens for Yield

TON Strategy Company (TONX) has repurchased over 250,000 shares of its common stock at $8.32 per share, a price notably lower than its treasury asset value (TAV) of $12.18. The buyback is part of the firm’s $250 million repurchase initiative, designed to enhance shareholder value and reinforce its position in the crypto market.

The company recently pivoted to toncoin (TON) as its primary treasury asset, underscoring its long-term commitment to blockchain technology. TONX also revealed that it has begun staking its substantial TON holdings to generate passive income. By participating in network validation, the company aims to secure the blockchain while creating a new revenue stream.

According to StakingRewards, staking yields for TON could reach up to 4.8%. TON Strategy reports ownership of 217.5 million TON tokens, currently valued at $3.24 each. If fully staked, this treasury could generate nearly $34 million annually in yield, maximizing returns on assets that would otherwise remain idle.

Despite these strategic moves, TON Strategy shares have faced heavy pressure in recent weeks. The stock has dropped more than 43% over the past 30 days, including a 9.2% decline in Friday’s session. Market volatility, combined with uncertainty around broader crypto sentiment, continues to weigh on investor confidence.

Still, the company’s dual strategy of buybacks and staking highlights its commitment to long-term growth and value creation. By repurchasing shares below TAV and leveraging blockchain rewards, TONX is positioning itself as both a disciplined capital allocator and a forward-looking crypto treasury manager.
