Ripple has intensified its public campaign in Washington, D.C., urging lawmakers to advance the CLARITY Act, a proposed crypto regulation bill designed to establish clear rules for digital assets in the United States. The initiative comes as Congress continues debating the future of cryptocurrency regulation and the broader framework governing the digital asset industry.
As part of its advocacy efforts, Ripple deployed a blue mobile advertising truck near the U.S. Capitol featuring large digital displays promoting the legislation. The truck carries the slogan, “On the road to Clarity,” alongside Ripple branding and messages emphasizing the need for transparent regulations for cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
Ripple shared the campaign on X, stating that the goal is to keep attention on the CLARITY Act while lawmakers work toward creating a comprehensive regulatory framework. According to the company, the legislation would strengthen consumer protection, encourage responsible innovation, and help the United States remain competitive in the rapidly growing blockchain and crypto sectors.
Lauren Belive, Ripple’s Co-Head of Public Policy and Government, also highlighted the campaign through social media. She described the initiative as a visible reminder of the company's support for regulatory clarity as Congress continues evaluating the bill.
Despite Ripple’s renewed push, the CLARITY Act has encountered significant obstacles. Senate Majority Leader John Thune recently adjourned the Senate until July 13, reducing the number of legislative days available to consider the measure before lawmakers return from the Independence Day recess.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna criticized the extended break, arguing that lawmakers should remain in Washington to address pending legislation, including crypto-related bills.
The CLARITY Act has already been placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar and is scheduled for review by the House Financial Services Committee. However, it must still secure Senate approval and receive enough support to overcome procedural hurdles before becoming law.
Momentum surrounding the bill has weakened in recent days after law enforcement organizations raised concerns about potential financial crime risks under the proposed framework. Nevertheless, the U.S. Department of Justice has publicly supported the CLARITY Act, pushing back against those concerns and signaling confidence that the legislation can provide effective oversight while fostering innovation in the U.S. cryptocurrency market.
