Upbit operator Dunamu announces new blockchain app developer tool ‘Luniverse’

Lamda256, the blockchain research unit of Dunamu – the operator of South Korean crypto exchange Upbit, has introduced a new blockchain app developer tool called “Luniverse.”

Luniverse will enable developers to build various dApps and run token economy systems in a simplified and faster way, The Korea Herald reported.

Lamda256 CEO Jay Park explained the new tool during the Upbit Developer Conference held last week on Jeju Island.

“With Luniverse, you can build the key structure of a dApp in just 30 minutes. We want developers to focus on their blockchain-based service development, rather than worry about technology issues,” said Park.

By allowing developers to use its already-established development platform, Luniverse will help them expedite the launch of their planned blockchain services, by doing away with much of the technical development process. Lamda256 said that the solution is also available as a pay-by-use system.

“About 1,700 DApps are out there but their total daily users are just 7,700 people. It’s not an exaggeration to say that blockchain has failed,” Park said (as quoted by The Investor). “Luniverse aims to help developers focus on their core values instead of struggling to handle these limitations.”

The Ethereum-based testnet will be launched tomorrow, September 18, and an official debut is expected by the end of this year.
