Wellgistics Health (OTC: WGRX), a Florida-based pharmaceutical distributor, has announced a $50 million equity line of credit to integrate XRP into its treasury and payment systems. The company aims to leverage the cryptocurrency for real-time settlements, vendor payouts, and credit issuance within its pharmacy network.

In partnership with New York-based LDA Capital, Wellgistics plans to use XRP to reduce delays and cut transaction costs that burden traditional pharmaceutical supply chains. The firm highlighted that XRP transactions finalize in 3–5 seconds, compared to the 1–3 day delay associated with ACH or wire transfers. By implementing blockchain-based settlements, Wellgistics expects to streamline operations across pharmacies, suppliers, and manufacturers.

All transactions will be recorded on the XRP Ledger, providing built-in compliance, rebate tracking, and auditability—key advantages for the highly regulated healthcare industry. XRP’s low foreign exchange fees also make it ideal for global vendor payouts, supporting the company’s efforts to modernize cross-border financial infrastructure.

With this move, Wellgistics becomes one of the first publicly traded U.S. companies to adopt XRP as both a treasury reserve asset and a real-time settlement tool. Although no specific launch date was given for the XRP-based services, the firm emphasized its confidence in the technology’s ability to enhance transparency, speed, and cost-efficiency across its financial ecosystem.

This development strengthens XRP’s use case in enterprise payments, as Ripple and its network of partners continue expanding into traditional industries such as healthcare and supply chain management.
