Changpeng Zhao, former CEO of Binance, has expressed interest in launching a UAE Golden Visa initiative for BNB token holders. Inspired by a similar offer from the TON Foundation, the potential Binance program could allow users to obtain a 10-year UAE residency visa by staking crypto assets. While details are yet to be finalized, the proposal would mirror the TON Foundation’s model, which grants long-term UAE residency to those who stake $100,000 worth of TON for three years and pay a $35,000 processing fee.

The UAE Golden Visa offers significant perks, including the ability to live, work, and study in the country without a sponsor, full business ownership rights, and access to premium services. The visa also extends to the holder's spouse, children, and parents.

Traditionally, acquiring the UAE Golden Visa requires a real estate investment of at least $500,000 or qualifying through entrepreneurship or exceptional talent. In comparison, the TON-based visa staking plan is more affordable and crypto-friendly, appealing to Web3 investors seeking global mobility.

However, Zhao cautioned that such offerings should be verified for legitimacy. While acknowledging the potential of the program, CZ noted that no official government endorsement has been confirmed and advised users to “trust but verify.” He emphasized that any credible initiative of this scale should ideally include a clear government partnership or announcement.

The concept of crypto staking tied to residency is gaining traction, offering new utility for digital assets and showcasing how blockchain can intersect with real-world privileges. Binance’s possible entry into this space could further validate crypto as a tool for global access and alternative investment routes.

As of now, Binance has not officially launched the program, but Zhao’s comments suggest serious consideration is underway.
