Upbit and Bithumb Expand Listings with SUN and 0G Tokens

South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb, announced new token listings today, boosting investor access to emerging digital assets. Upbit has added the Sun Token (SUN), while Bithumb confirmed the upcoming listing of 0G, a token tied to an AI-focused infrastructure project.

SUN is the governance token of SUN.io, a TRON-based DeFi platform offering stablecoin swaps, yield farming, and decentralized governance. Trading went live on September 22 at 12:00 KST, with pairs available against the Korean won (KRW) and Tether (USDT). Deposits and withdrawals are supported exclusively on the TRON network, with Upbit cautioning users about transfers from unsupported platforms due to Travel Rule restrictions. The listing triggered a price surge, with SUN jumping 36% from $0.025 to $0.034 before stabilizing at $0.030, marking a 20% gain within hours. Despite a 36% drop in daily trading volume, liquidity remains strong, with Upbit capturing over 12.5% of global SUN trading activity alongside Binance and HTX.

Meanwhile, Bithumb revealed it will launch trading for the 0G token at 7:00 PM KST, offering a KRW pair. The project has already gained traction with institutional investors. Flora Growth Corp. (FLGC) announced a $401 million treasury strategy for 0G, highlighting its role in powering scalable, transparent, and privacy-first AI infrastructure.

Industry analysts are watching closely to see if strong institutional backing and dual listings on Bithumb and Binance will drive sustained demand for 0G or spark volatility in its early trading days.
