Hollywood is entering the world of blockchain prediction markets. Hollywood.com has announced an exclusive partnership with crypto exchange Crypto.com to create entertainment-focused prediction markets covering film, television, music, and more.
The event contracts will be powered by Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a CFTC-registered exchange and clearinghouse. This allows users to legally trade on outcomes related to movies, actors, TV shows, musicians, Broadway productions, and major award events. Through this collaboration, Hollywood.com will promote the prediction markets across its platform, blending entertainment with real-time market dynamics.
According to Hollywood.com co-CEO Mitchell Rubenstein, the initiative lets fans engage with their favorite entertainment events in a new way. “Imagine predicting reality show winners or whether a musical artist will reach #1 on the charts—we’re giving fans a voice in predicting the moments that define entertainment,” Rubenstein said.
The collaboration follows Crypto.com’s recent partnership with Trump Media & Technology Group, which plans to launch Truth Predict, a political and cultural prediction platform for the Truth Social community. These projects mark Crypto.com’s continued expansion into event-based and entertainment trading products.
Prediction markets have surged in popularity over the past year, with platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi reaching billion-dollar valuations and record trading volumes. As interest grows, Hollywood.com’s new venture aims to bring this innovation to the entertainment industry—bridging pop culture and blockchain finance.
Meanwhile, MoviePass has also entered the space with Mogul, a fantasy-style prediction platform that allows users to forecast box office results. Although Mogul doesn’t yet feature real-money betting, it reflects Hollywood’s growing enthusiasm for crypto-driven engagement.
