World Launches Solana Prediction Market on Phantom With Chainlink Integration

World, the highly anticipated Solana-based project that sparked widespread speculation across X with its mysterious marketing campaign and the slogan “Trade Everything,” has officially launched as a fully onchain prediction market integrated directly into the Phantom wallet.

Now available through world.xyz and Phantom on iOS, Android, and desktop, the platform enables users to trade prediction market contracts using their Solana wallets. At launch, users can participate in markets tied to cryptocurrency prices and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while additional markets covering sports, geopolitics, and macroeconomic events are expected to roll out soon.

The project attracted significant attention over recent months through cryptic social media posts that revealed little about its purpose, leading many to speculate it was a meme coin, a trading application, or a broader Solana ecosystem initiative. The mystery deepened as unofficial WORLD-themed tokens appeared on various token launch platforms, although none were affiliated with the official project. World’s identity became clearer only in late June after legal disclosures linked to Phantom surfaced online.

Unlike traditional prediction platforms, World operates as a non-custodial, fully onchain prediction market, allowing users to retain control of their assets until they actively enter a market. Trading positions, settlements, and reward redemptions are executed entirely on the Solana blockchain, offering transparency and security throughout the process.

The platform uses Phantom’s CASH stablecoin as its settlement currency, enabling automatic payouts to winning participants directly within the Phantom wallet. By integrating with one of Solana’s largest consumer wallets, World gains immediate access to a broad user base while supporting Phantom’s expanding ecosystem of financial services, including prediction markets and regulated derivatives.

Chainlink powers the platform’s market data and event resolution through Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment, helping automate market outcomes while reducing reliance on manual dispute resolution. Oracle-based settlement has become an increasingly popular approach across decentralized prediction markets, with platforms such as Polymarket adopting similar technology for price-based events.

Pedro Miranda, Head of Consumer at the Solana Foundation, said prediction markets represent one of the strongest use cases for high-performance blockchains, noting that World demonstrates Solana’s ability to deliver real-time trading, onchain settlement, and an accessible user experience.

World enters a growing Solana prediction market landscape. Jupiter recently introduced its Forecast beta, which features short-term Bitcoin price prediction markets. Looking ahead, World plans to expand beyond Phantom by activating additional frontend distribution partnerships with both traditional fintech firms and crypto platforms throughout July, broadening access to its decentralized prediction market ecosystem.
