Coinbase will suspend trading for six cryptocurrency pairs on August 6, 2026, following a routine review of market quality and trading activity. The exchange confirmed that the affected pairs are LSETH-ETH, MINA-EUR, GRT-GBP, MASK-GBP, CHZ-USDT, and CRO-USDT, with five of them already moved into limit-only mode ahead of the suspension.

The limit-only status applies to MINA-EUR, GRT-GBP, MASK-GBP, CHZ-USDT, and CRO-USDT across Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. During this period, traders can place or cancel limit orders, while existing limit orders may continue to match. However, market orders are no longer accepted.

According to Coinbase, the decision is part of its ongoing listing review process, which evaluates whether supported markets continue to meet the platform’s trading standards. The company regularly assesses liquidity, trading volume, and order book depth, noting that markets with weaker activity may be removed to help maintain efficient trading conditions and reduce the impact of wider spreads.

This is not the first time Coinbase has taken similar action. The exchange previously shifted Function X (FX) into limit-only mode before suspending trading after the project migrated from the FX ERC-20 token to the new Pundi AI (PUNDIAI) token. Coinbase has also cited compliance requirements, regulatory developments, and project updates as factors in previous listing reviews.

While removing several trading pairs, Coinbase continues expanding its digital asset offerings. The exchange recently listed Bio Protocol (BIO), BankrCoin (BNKR), and Treehouse (TREE), enabling customers to buy, sell, transfer, convert, and store the tokens through Coinbase and its mobile app.

Separately, Coinbase confirmed that its commercial partnership with Circle, the issuer of USDC, has automatically renewed after both companies met the agreement’s renewal conditions. The extension preserves Coinbase’s USDC revenue-sharing arrangement despite recent discussions surrounding its involvement with the Open USD consortium.

The company also reported second-quarter revenue of $1.22 billion, missing Wall Street’s $1.29 billion estimate and marking a 14% decline from the previous quarter due to weaker crypto trading activity. Coinbase shares closed at $146.50, while ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) purchased 38,761 Coinbase shares, valued at approximately $5.68 million.
